How can we help?
Write to support@ardsh.com. Say what happened, and which phone you have. A person reads every message.
Reminders
A squat reminder came late, or not at all
- Allow notifications when slowcarb asks.
- Allow Alarms & reminders when Today asks; Settings keeps the ask. Without it a reminder still comes, but Android may hold it back.
- On a Samsung phone, also open Settings, then Battery, Background usage limits, Never sleeping apps, and add slowcarb. Keep its own battery setting on Unrestricted. Otherwise the battery manager can drop a reminder.
- The ringing alarm over the lock screen needs full-screen notifications. If Android withholds them, Settings in slowcarb shows Allow alarm screen.
The first set comes too early or too late
It comes 40 minutes after a plate, about when the meal’s sugar peaks. Change it in Settings, under First set after a meal.
Claude
Adding your key
- Create an API key in the Anthropic Console, with billing set up.
- In slowcarb, open Settings and paste it under Claude reads your photos. It is encrypted on your phone.
- Anthropic bills you directly, about a cent or two a photo.
“Claude couldn’t read this plate”
The phone had no signal, or the API answered with an error, such as a key without credit. Tap the verdict yourself and carry on; a plate you log gets one more try.
Your plan
Changing your cheat day
Any time, in Settings or on the cheat-day tab. Plates you already logged keep the day they were eaten on.
Starting again
Settings, then Start a new 30 days. Your log, streak, and trend carry on.
Before Day 1
On medication, pregnant, or managing a condition? Check with your doctor before you start.
Your data
Moving to a new phone
With Android backup on and a screen lock set, your log and settings come along to the new phone. Photos and your Claude key stay behind, so add the key again in Settings.
Deleting everything
Open Android Settings, then Apps, slowcarb, Storage, and tap Clear storage, or uninstall slowcarb. The privacy policy has the rest.
